2 builders who never spoke to each other
Give the not-yet buyer somewhere to go
A prospect who is interested but not ready should land somewhere that keeps them in orbit rather than being pushed or dropped. Offer a tier with no product in it, a newsletter or a community, because circumstances change and the conversation restarts warm.
The method
- 01
A tier with no product in it gives your team an answer to the prospect who says they will buy later: invite them to start meeting existing customers now, many of whom were in exactly their position.
- 02
Move a bad-fit caller into the newsletter and the community with a pointer to other resources instead of pushing, because circumstances change later.
What it returned
Hillman says the reply now points people towards members who were themselves waiting to quit a job, or to land a role that let them pick their own location, and who can probably help.

No roundup of links, no news. Three tactics more than one builder arrived at separately, with the numbers each one returned and the disagreements left in.
