a single source, nothing corroborates it
Buy search ads aimed at exactly one person
When the entire prospect list is a single name, the auction becomes cheap and precise. One founder ran search ads on an investor's own name, knowing the man tracked mentions of himself, and wrote copy naming the gap in that investor's record: no investment yet in the category. The target called him to book a meeting.
The method
- 01
Buy search ads bid on one specific person's name when that individual is the only prospect you need to reach.
- 02
Research how your target already monitors mentions of themselves, then place your message where that monitoring will surface it.
- 03
Write the ad copy so it names the gap in the target's own record and invites them to close it.
What it returned
Tadabase CEO Moe Levine ran Google ads on investor Mark Suster's name; Suster contacted him to book a call
Levine knew Suster tracked his own name with Google Alerts
The ad pointed out that Suster had not yet backed a no-code startup
