Answer the objections buyers actually raise

Ask recent buyers what nearly stopped them and what would have made the purchase feel like a mistake, group the answers that keep recurring, and put those answers on the page in the phrasing the customers used. Anything that does not fit the main flow becomes an FAQ. Where traffic arrives already wanting the outcome, the whole job of the copy is clearing the doubt rather than selling the desire again.

The method

  1. 01

Collect objections by talking to customers, group the ones that recur, and answer them on the page in the customers' own phrasing.

  2. 02

Ask recent buyers what nearly stopped them and what would have made them regret it, then answer those objections before the buy button.

  3. 03

Move the features and objections that do not fit the main flow into an FAQ, rewritten as questions and answers.

  4. 04

Assume traffic arriving from a search ad already wants the outcome, so spend the copy resolving the doubt that is blocking them rather than selling the desire again.

  5. 05

Stack the three trust elements on the page that asks for money: answers to common objections, proof other people did it, and the numbers behind the claim.

What it returned

  • 11.5

Kiva's donations rose 11.5 percent once objection answers, donor proof and hard statistics sat on the page.

  • Katelyn Bourgoin also mines reviews of her own and competitors' products, where buyers routinely volunteer the hesitations they had before purchase.

  • People clicking the immigration ad had already decided they wanted to emigrate: what they did not know was whether they qualified.
