3 builders who never spoke to each other
Put the proof where the traffic lands
Other people's evidence moves more clicks than any visual adjustment, so it belongs above the fold making the promise believable rather than parked at the bottom. Stack more than one kind: recognisable logos, a running signup count, awards, a rating with real faces beside it, a marquee customer you had not been mentioning. Search traffic arrives on inner pages, so repeat it there too.
The method
- 01
Put social proof above the fold to make the promise in your title believable, since any company can write the claim.
- 02
Put testimonials, user counts and awards on the page. Proof from other people moves more clicks than any visual adjustment.
- 03
Choose one type of social proof and give it prominent space next to the thing you are selling instead of scattering weak proof everywhere.
- 04
Move the product rating above the fold instead of leaving reviews further down the page, and show headshots of real customers next to it so the proof reads as human.
- 05
Treat customer testimonials as outranking both page design and copywriting, and give them prominent space on the sales page.
What it returned
- 18,000
Privy's claim about small brands selling more is made credible by its stated 18,000+ reviews
Social proof is ranked above design changes for driving clicks.
Secret Lab built a whole page for its awards, Julian Cole puts his Trustpilot score at the very top of the page selling his course, and Russell Brunson threads video testimonials through the ClickFunnels homepage.
Welsh calls reviews and testimonials his secret weapon and points readers at his own landing page as the demonstration.

Three plays a week, for the phase you are in
No roundup of links, no news. Three tactics more than one builder arrived at separately, with the numbers each one returned and the disagreements left in.
