Repeat the call to action all the way down
Readiness arrives at different points for different people, and anyone who has to scroll back up to buy may not. Put the action in every section, restating why they are clicking rather than dropping a lone button, shrink the signup box until it fits anywhere, and swap the navigation for it once the visitor is past a certain point. One page went as far as a keyboard shortcut that opens checkout from anywhere.
The method
- 01
Repeat the call to action further down, and use the extra space to restate why the visitor is clicking rather than dropping a lone button.
- 02
Repeat the call to action in every section of the sales page so a visitor who becomes ready halfway down never has to scroll back.
- 03
Repeat a plainly worded buy button at every stop down the page.
- 04
Swap the nav bar for a signup field once the visitor scrolls past a set point, so an account is always one click away.
- 05
Add a keyboard shortcut that opens checkout from anywhere on the page, so a visitor who decides mid-scroll never has to hunt for the button.
