State the limit and skip the enforcement
A cap written into the purchase copy sets the expectation that prevents abuse, and in practice almost nobody goes looking for the edge of it. Write the boundary, count who exceeds it, and build the check only if the count ever justifies the work.
The method
- 01
You can state a usage limit in your purchase copy and simply not build the enforcement, because in practice almost nobody exploits it.
What it returned

Place Card Me promised up to 30 days of editing and never enforced it; of 1,500 sales only 15 people edited beyond 30 days and only 4 beyond 60
