Ship every page with the tags a card is built from
Networks build their link previews from one shared set of meta properties, so a page without them arrives as a bare URL that nobody clicks. Adding the tags once and checking the result in a preview inspector turns every future share into a titled image card instead.
The method
- 01
Write one set of Open Graph tags rather than a separate set per network, since the networks read the same properties.
- 02
Paste the URL into a preview checker before you share it anywhere, so you see the card the way other people will.
- 03
Add card meta tags to every page so a shared link arrives as a preview with a title, a description and a large image instead of a naked URL.
What it returned
Four Open Graph properties are required, and both Facebook and LinkedIn build their link previews from them.
Points at the sharing debugger Facebook runs, the card validator at Twitter, the post inspector on LinkedIn, and metatags.io, which shows six previews side by side and hands back the markup to paste in.
Twitter supports four card types and the large image variant gives the picture top billing. He traced the card on his own first tweet back to the tags Hashnode injects.

Three plays a week, for the phase you are in
No roundup of links, no news. Three tactics more than one builder arrived at separately, with the numbers each one returned and the disagreements left in.
